Award-winning hairstylist and educator, Matt Hom, will step into his new position as Director of Education at Bellus Acadmey after being a part of the team for nine years. Hom has served as an educator, cosmetology manager and most recently, as a regional director of education for Bellus Academy. His achievements include receiving the 2012 Wella Professional North America TrendVision award and Sebastian Professional’s 2016 Regional Instructor of the Year award.
In his new role, Hom will focus on leading a team of award-winning educators and advancing the academy’s curriculum across four campuses in California and Kansas.
“I think what makes the Bellus student experience unique is we are not driven by any brands but our own. We have our own curriculums and systems, yet we also partner with top names and brands and this approach offers the flexibility to continually innovate the student experience,” says Hom.
Bellus Academy owner Lynelle Lynch is also eager to watch Hom in this new venture. “Matt shares the academy’s passion for pursuing new levels of excellence and we are excited to see how his leadership will help the team achieve new levels in the classroom and in the broader industry,” says Lynch.
