Education is extremely important to celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, and for him, it’s not only about receiving an education, it’s also about giving to others. So, on Friday, October 2 at Bellus Academy in Poway, CA, Gibson and his team (along with Gibson’s husband, renowned colorist Jason Backe) will present an amazing and inspirational Ted Gibson Advanced Academy where they will offer two programs for professionals.
The first program is the morning session from 10am to noon, which will consist of a presentation and demo. For those looking to extend their educational experience, Gibson is offering a full program, which will include a presentation, demo and hands-on experience with lunch. The full program goes from 10am to 5pm and is limited to 20 participants (licensed stylists only). All proceeds will benefit the non-profit THIRST Project.
“With education, no matter what you’re learning, it can help in your career,” says Gibson. “And with a hands-on class, if you can see a demo, do what was just presented, and then teach it to someone else, it will only make you stronger. I believe we’re all teachers on different scales, and teaching the information you learn to someone else is like giving back.”
