Classic Movie Inspiration: The GO24•7 Collection

The GO24•7 collection was inspired by dramatic transformations that were illustrated through classic movies of the past.  In both the 1932 movie “Boudu Saved from Drowning” directed by Jean Renior and the more recent classic “Down and Out in Beverly Hills” starring Nick Nolte of 1986, feature infamous stories of men that have fallen on hard times only to be taken under the wing of a successful business man. After causing mischievous chaos, they end up receiving a makeover and the lives of everyone involved change.

This inspiration can be seen throughout the collection in disheveled street-chic styling. The colors and textures of earthy tones along with denim, wool and tweed compliment the dry, disheveled hair. The historic style of tintype photography of the 1860’s brings you back in time and creates a unique look and feel to each photograph that cannot be replicated to it’s truest form through the use of digital cameras of today.

Vinnie Morey: “I looked at this collection as an homage to traditional classic barbering of the past with a nod to future men’s grooming.”
