Color My World

Getting the Bio-Lights put in my hair — they were so comfortable on my head!

Although I wrote about Rick Wellman's unique Bio-Lights coloring technique at the Patrick Melville Salon in New York City in our April issue, it's taken me a few too many months to get into the salon and try it for myself. Well, after I saw the results last night, I'm absolutely kicking myself for not going in sooner!

Rick's technique involves using eco-friendly, 100-percent biodegradable white cotton pads in lieu of foil, which allow for greater precision and flexibility. Rick used light golden blonde and strawberry blonde hues to warm up my dirty blonde hair, and I'm beyond happy with the results!

While he was working his magic, Rick mentioned that the salon is going to start offering classes in the Bio-Lights technique -- stay tuned for more information on that!
