Emmy Awards 2010: Jane Krakowski

Celebrity stylist Creighton Bowman created a soft, beachy chignon for 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski at the Emmy Awards. Bowman drew inspiration from the actress' one-shouldered dress and her penchant for ‘50s Hollywood glamour, modernizing the classic style with extra texture:

Prep: Bowman applied René Furterer Okara 2 phase leave-in protective conditioner to protect Krakowski’s buttery blonde locks and add shine, Sachajuan Ocean Mist at the roots for key texture and René Furterer Vegetal mousse on the ends and at hairline for lift. “Using a medium round brush, I gave Jane’s hair a basic round brush blow-out,” Bowman explained.

Style: “Then I sprayed hair with René Furterer Naturia dry shampoo to enhance the natural texture,” Bowman said. He secured Krakowski’s hair in a mid-height ponytail with an elastic at the back of her head, wrapped it into a chignon and pinned in place.

Finish: To set, Bowman misted the ‘do with L’Oréal Elnett Satin Hairspray. “The soft texture kept the chignon from looking too sleek—in all, an effortless, loosened-up star-worthy look for the 2010 Emmys!” Bowman said.
