Continuing the legacy of family owned Farouk Systems, Farouk R. Shami II will step in as the new Vice President of Operations. The grandson of founder and chairman Dr. Farouk Shami, Shami II joined the company in 2009 after graduating from the University of Houston and previously held the position of Director of Operations. In his new role, Shami II will oversee purchases, provide guidance to his three managers, cut costs, and strengthen social media engagement.
Shami II is excited to take on this new responsibility. “From a boy, I attended hair shows passing out samples and meeting hairdressers from around the world. I have grown to love this industry. I admire my father and grandfather for their wisdom and sharing nature that has allowed me an opportunity of a lifetime,” says Shami II.
His grandfather is grateful to have Farouk Systems continue with his grandson. “It has been one of my proudest moments to watch and observe how my grandson has taken the family business as his future path in life. Both my son Rami and I look forward to working with him and wish him all of the success in the world,” says Dr. Shami.
