Farouk Systems Signs Miss Universe Agreement With WME | IMG

Basim Shami, CEO & President of Farouk Systems USA, proudly announces the company’s newly formed business relationship with WME|IMG for the upcoming 64th Annual Miss Universe Pageant. With over 80 contestants from around the world aspiring to compete for the title, the 2015 pageant will air live on FOX from 7:00-10:00PM EST on December 20th at Las Vegas's Planet Hollywood.

On September 14, 2015, WME | IMG fully acquired the Miss Universe Organization as well as Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. This acquisition expands its portfolio of global events and media properties across entertainment and fashion. The roster includes more than 20 fashion weeks per year in cities including New York, Berlin, and Sydney; original lifestyle productions including this year's "Macy's Presents Fashion's Front Row" at Madison Square Garden; and global lifestyle festivals including Taste Festivals and Lollapalooza. IMG has served as executive producers of both Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants in the past.

Farouk Systems' collaboration with WME | IMG, which fully acquired The Miss Universe Organization, will bring additional opportunities for these young women to live out their dreams and aspirations to become role models, spokespersons and community leaders.

According to Mr. Shami, "With the recent WME | IMG acquisition, I felt it was important for Farouk Systems to revisit our sponsorship as well as our continuing commitment to supporting these young women from around the world. These global contestants have truly demonstrated a strong passion toward being role models for other young women, helping in their communities, raising monies for charities, and starting foundations while striving for their own personal excellence. This positive messaging is something Farouk Systems believes in. They have all worked so hard to accomplish their goals, which is something the world needs more than ever. Our mission has and will be to help them achieve their dreams and be there to support them through the process."

Starting on November 30, 2015, Farouk Systems began sending their team of hairstylists to help the contestants with their preliminary competitions, dress rehearsals and the live broadcasts. They will provide each girl with full service hair care and products from their CHI Haircare Line.
