From Down Under: The Ant Hill Mob Collection

Wild Life Hair in Sydney, Australia shares its latest release with us.

The Ant Hill Mob collection gets its name from a group of pint-size gangsters who drove a 1920s limousine sedan in the 1960s animated cartoon series Wacky Races. Says stylist Emily McGregor, “We wanted a 1930s criminal/gangster feel but with androgynous overtones.” Shooting in black and white seemed the way to go since it captured the flavor of the era, though McGregor allows that “sometimes black and white can be stronger than color.” —Marianne Dougherty >
