Get the Look: Goldwell’s Spring Pastel Blondes

Dare we say it, but it feels like spring in New York today! With the change in the weather, hair too deserves a brighter hue to match. Patrick McIvor, Goldwell and KMS California artistic and techniculture director, recommends spending extra consultation time with clients to create an updated spring color. Two salon owners shared their Goldwell formulas for their own glistening, pale blonde shades.

Rose Scolieri-Hawkins, owner of Di Rosa Haircare & Esthetique in Franklin Square, NY, created a quick, glossy blonde formula. She mixed one scoop Goldwell SilkLift High Performance Lightener with 35 ml 6% 20-volume Conditioning Cream Developer, applied all-over locks and processed. After shampooing and conditioning she applied a mix of 40 ml 20-volume Colorance Express Developer and 10 ml Cream Colorance Express Toner and processed for five minutes. Scolieri-Hawkins says the Toner acts like a lip gloss for hair, adding instant polish.
