Get the Look: Jessica Chastain’s Retro Curls

Jessica Chastain, an Academy Award nominee for her role in The Help (2011), was in New York for the opening night of “The Heiress” this month. The Broadway production’s lead, Chastain wore 1940s pin curls designed by Celebrity Hairdresser Ted Gibson. Below, Gibson shares how he created her subtle style:

  1. I used Ted Gibson Hair Sheet Styling and Build It Blow Drying Agent to get her hair ready for the ’40s updated retro look.
  2. After blowdrying with a large round brush I set her hair in pin curls all over her head.
  3. I sprayed with Beautiful Hold Hairspray, then brushed to create this beautiful, sexy style.
