Get the Look: Melissa Leo at the Golden Globes

Melissa Leo, who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Fighter, turned heads on the red carpet with her elegant updo by celebrity stylist Creighton Bowman. To achieve her look, Bowman started by applying René Furterer Modeling Paste at the crown of Leo’s towel-dried hair. He then worked Tonucia No Rinse Densifying Mousse all over the rest of her hair starting at the roots and working towards the ends. In order to maintain texture, Bowman blow-dried her hair at a low setting and then curled her hair with a 1-inch barrel curling iron, using Vegetal Finishing Spray to set and enhance the curls. For the updo, Bowman used Naturia Dry Shampoo before he back-combed the roots and pinned Leo’s hair into a classic French twist with a few loose wisps to frame her face. He finished with Vegetal Finishing Spray to add shine and hold to the look.—Clarissa Nebuya
