Hair Therapy

The United States’ first Lucinda Ellery Consultancy, a salon dedicated exclusively to women who have fine hair or are experiencing hair loss, has opened its doors in Beverly Hills, CA. Established in London in 1984, the salon specializes in hair extensions and a signature Intralace System, in which permanent mesh is integrated strand-by-strand into clients’ hair, along with additional natural hair. The hair is then cut and styled in the salon and can be safely washed and heated. These expert services—as well as in-depth consultations for each client and a relaxing interior reminiscent of an exotic island getaway—allow the salon to not only make women look better but also provide support to those undergoing stress due to such hair loss causes as trichotillomania, hereditary hair loss or chemotherapy. “The new salon will promote the importance of confidence and self-esteem in women who are distraught because of their hair conditions,” says CEO Lucinda Ellery. “Providing the most advanced hair loss management services available, we’re proud to help make a positive impact on the lives of women who have suffered from chronic hair loss and other traumatic hair experiences.” —B.K.
