The shows are on! IECSC and The Beauty Experience NY (IBS NY) are moving forward and we cannot wait to see our community together in New York!
While we appreciate the letters from the community imploring us to continue with the events, we have also received calls and emails from people who are choosing not to attend. We will miss those that will not join us, and will do everything in our power to make the shows a success for all of those who will be with us March 8-10, 2020. As mentioned in previous communications, the South Korean pavilion, companies in China and other impacted areas around the world will not be at the show.
We are following the news closely, we're in constant communication with the Jacob Javits Center and we're taking direction from experts at the World Health Organization and the CDC as we make all of our decisions. We are well aware that some events have chosen to postpone or cancel whereas many others are continuing to move ahead—like our industry colleagues at Indie Beauty Expo, who just announced they are opening their Berlin show as planned in March. Further, there are two events happening concurrently at the Jacob Javits Center next week alongside IECSC and The Beauty Experience and both have confirmed they are moving forward. With this, we are taking all of the precautions outlined from the WHO, CDC and Department of Health along with the policies of Javits Center to ensure our 16,000+ people planning to attend the shows can do so comfortably and use this environment to drive their business forward.
