Betty Pemberton, owner of Impressions the Salon and Spa in Danville, KY, and her team have been selected as the grand prize winners of the Matrix Fashion's Night Out National Event competition. Matrix challenged the entire Spread the Love community to compete for the grand prize of two all-expense paid trips to New York City, and selected Impressions for its original ideas and execution.
Impressions started its day by styling a group of local mentally challenged young women for a beauty pageant. "We were so pleased and proud to be able to work with these 16 girls, to help make their day special," Pemberton said. The salon team also created hairstyles and coordinated wardrobes for five Centre College student models, each representing one of the Total Results haircare and styling collections: Amplify, Sleek, Moisture, Curl and Color Care. Finally, the event ended with the models walking a fashion show at the Centre College campus and a flash mob dancing to a medley of songs.
