Industry Veterans Join Global Keratin

Global Keratin has announced two new additions to its team. Renowned hairstylist Harold Leighton has been appointed as creative director and hair educator John Benedetto was named director of education. “Harold and John are joining us with more than 60 years of industry experience combined, admirable reputations and genuine passion for what they do,” said Vanderlei Tibolla, founder and CEO of Global Keratin.

Leighton, who once worked with John Paul Mitchell Systems, has had his work featured in a number of consumer and trade publications, including Vogue and Hairdressers Journal International. He has also written three books: Hair Cutting for Everyone, The Complete Book of Hair Care and From Salon to Celebrity: The British Hairdressing Story.

Benedetto has a background as a salon owner, platform artist and educator for major haircolor manufacturers, including Aveda, where he was director of global hair color education. His work has appeared in trade publications and consumer magazines, such as Glamour, Allure and Marie Claire. —Ivy Tan
