Kempner New York Fashion Week Recap: Hair by Amy Farid for Oribe Hair Care

Lead hairstylist Amy Farid for Oribe Hair Care created sophisticated, lived-in waves for Kempner’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Designer and co-founder Meggie Kempner stayed true to her brand’s DNA this season and debuted sexy separates and dresses that her grandmother, socialite Nan Kempner, might wear if she were to go on a road trip today. “The look is expensive, but cool,” said Farid. “We wanted the hair to reflect the elegance of the brand and the clothes.”

Get the Look:

1. ]Spray Run-Through Detangling Primer from roots to ends.

2. Next, apply Curl Gloss and blowout the hair, which will give you high shine and hydration without making the hair feel heavy.

3. Spray Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray in section-by-section and use a 1-inch curling iron to create bends in the hair, directing the barrel away from the hair. Use your hands to break up the waves for a more natural look.

4. Finish with a generous misting of Superfine Hair Spray to hold the style.
