Longtime Industry Advocate Ken Kassidy Passes Away

Ken Kassidy, advocate and spokesperson for the salon and spa industry, passed away on October 11. His 40-year career included roles such as licensed hair designer, salon owner, educator, consultant and owner of Kassidy's Salon Management Consultants. His company offered seminars, videos, and guidance on front desk operations, retail programs, booth rental structures, legal structures, employee relations and salon management issues. He was a regular speaker at many regional and national beauty trade shows and was actively involved in politics to support the professional beauty industry.

His mission remains: "To promote, empower and expand growth in the professional cosmetology industry through informative education, expanding roles played by the salon and spa owners, employees, independent contractors, booth renters and the retail sales force which play an important part in today's industry!"
