Matrix will launch its new Regional Academy initiative this month in four key salons coast to coast in an effort to educate salon professionals. An additional 20 salons will represent Matrix as Regional Academies by the end of 2014. Each academy will host at least four classes per year, including some of the new Programs of Passion, where educators will create curriculum based on their own individual interests. The first beauty professionals who will lead the program represent salons from different sections of the country:
Matrix Artistic Educator Michael Albor will present a class, "Foundations of Hairdressing," and owns The Loft Salon + Day Spa in Boston, MA.
Darci Brown, Matrix artistic educator, owns Esteem Academy of Beauty in Salt Lake City, UT and will provide her class “True Colors.”
Dan Csicsai, owner of Salon Glo located in Valencia, CA, is also a Matrix global design team member, and will offer “More Than Balayage” as his Program of Passion.
Gina Kahn, founder of Gina Khan Salon in San Francisco, CA, is a philanthropist and Logics International Spokesperson, and will teach her class "Logical Color."
