Mercedes-Benz Fall ‘11 Fashion Week NYC: ADAM

The Adam fall 2011 collection mixed Native American and country influences. For the hair, lead stylist Diego De Silvo for Redken created a look that was "sophisticated but with some edge." He explains, "It's really two looks: from the front, it's sleek and chic, and from the back, you have some unexpected texture and volume with the twisted ponytail." Da Silva use Redken Rootful 06 on the crown and Fashion Work 12 and Wool Shake 08 for matte texture in the back.

The makeup had an outdoorsy inspiration, according to lead makeup artist Romy for M.A.C. The eyes featured an inky black liquid eyeliner on top, which started just short of halfway in for a spectacle feel. The lashes were enhanced with Haute & Naughty mascara, while the lids were kept nude and matte with setting powder. The cheeks got a flushed effect with a berry shade created by mixing Posey and Laid Back cream blushes.

The nails were given two coats of Deborah Lippmann Just Walk Away Renee, a burgundy shade, and a top coat if Super Glossy.
