Mercedes-Benz Fall ‘11 Fashion Week NYC: Elie Tahari

The beauty looks at Elie Tahari were all about keeping things pure and simple. For the hair, Esther Langham for Moroccanoil created a clean low ponytail at the nape of the neck. She started by dampening the models' hair and applying a mixture of Moroccanoil Light Treatment and Styling Cream for lots of shine. Once the hair was dry, she created a center part and pulled the hair back into the ponytail, using her fingers instead of a brush to maintain softness. She then flat-ironed the ponytail and wrapped a piece of hair around the elastic.

Bobbi Brown went for an innocent, wide-eyed look for the makeup. She used a mixture of shimmery shadows, including Shell and Champagne Quartz, on the lids and applied tons of Extreme Lengthening Mascara. The skin was given a matte finish, with rosy cheeks courtesy of Pale Pink blush (darker skin tones got a touch of bronzer on the apple of the cheek). She created a subtle cupid's bow on the lips, lightening them with concealer and then using Slopes, a brownish lipstick, in the center.

The simplicity continued on the nails, which were painted with Dashing Diva Trust Fund, a nude shade, and a layer of Matte Topcoat.
