The collection at the Alice + Olivia show had me longing for an invitation to an exclusive dinner party. Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet mixed bright colors, metallic, leathers and lush embroidery for a romantic yet edgy look. She collaborated with Sebastian Professional lead stylist, Anthony Cole, to create loosely constructed chignon’s that were playful and coquettish. Anthony started by combining Sebastian Professional Whipped Crème and Mousse Forte to give the hair body without frizz. After drying he created a middle part and pulled the hair into a ponytail-twisting it around the base and pinning it up. For shape and hold he sprayed the hair with Sebastian Professional Shaper. He then pulled pieces of hair from each side to frame the face and finished with Sebastian Professional Trilliant for an extra touch of shine.
Lead makeup artist for Stila Cosmetics, Sarah Lucera, complimented the look with with a mix of gothic and glamorous creations, while nails shimmered with precut nail tips from Sephora by OPI Trendtips in Black & Gold Glitter and Silver Metallic.
