Mercedes-Benz Fall 2012 Fashion Week NYC: Erin by Erin Fetherston

Completely breathtaking, girly and electrifying, the hair, makeup and nails for the Fall 2012 collection of Erin by Erin Fetherston was a dramatic and inspiring accent to Fetherston's collection.

The look was nature meets organic with an electric vibe said lead hair stylist for the show TIGI Creative Director Nick Irwin. Fresh from the Mara Hoffman show earlier that day, Irwin did something totally different for Fetherston with organic hair of three styles: Long loose waves; adorable top knots; and twisted low ponies. All styles encompassed a loose feel that Irwin says was the best complement to the clothes.

The main product that Irwin used to get and sustain these looks was Catwalk by TIGI Session Series Salt Spray that he says is an absolute must for adding texture. For hold of the top knots and ponies, Irwin used Catwalk by TIGI Session Series Finishing Hairspray.

Lead makeup artist James Kaliardos for MAC Cosmetics said that makeup is definitely something Ziggy Stardust could wear with drama and glamour at the eyes. Kaliardos kept the skin and lips minimal, lips were glossed in MAC Brilliantine, and the brows were kept natural. To pump up the Ziggy Stardust feel, Kaliardos made-up the eyes with Smolder pencil, Carbon and Grape shadows and then added a serious splash of Platinum Pigment that Kaliardos said looks like liquid silver.

For the nails, freelance beauty consultant Sheril Bailey used Zoya polish on fingers and toes in a color coincidentally called "Erin" that is a very pretty pink hue with just enough stain to cause a statement.
