Mercedes-Benz Fall/Winter 2014 Fashion Week: Jason Wu

Jason Wu, one of the favorite designers of First Lady Michelle Obama, debuted his collection for Fall 2014. Backstage Lead Stylist for Kerastase Paris, Odile Gilbert, was cool, collected and made everything look easy. She created messy chignons for the runway with a boyish, relaxed style that she didn’t want to control too much.”

To create this undone low chignon, Odile applied Kerastase Mousse Volumifique to damp hair and blew it dry in a backwards motion with a paddle brush. She then distributed Kerastase Touche Perfection throughout for subtle shine and softness. Next, she applied Kerastase Lift Vertige at the roots on the front section of the hairline and blew it dry in an upwards motion with fingers to create slight volume. She used Keratase Laque Dentele to smooth hair down at the sides of head, creating a lacquered look. After, she took the rest of the length at the back of the head, and pinned it in random sections, then used Kerastase Touche Perfection to create an undone chignon that mimics an oval shape.

For the makeup, Lead Artist for Lancome, Diane Kendal, created effortlessly chic looks. Eyes were softly shaded and lashes were curled. She applied Lancome’s Artline 24H on the top lash line only. Skin was very clean and flawless, while the cheeks had subtle color with a natural glow. On the lips she used Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge la Base for a barely there, but matte look.
