Mercedes-Benz Fall/Winter 2014 Fashion Week: Misha Nonoo

Misha Nonoo’s Fall 2014 collection, was all about the New York girl who is precise and curated when it comes to work, but undone in life. She spends most of her time indoors, but has a close relationship with nature. Global Creative Director for Catwalk by TIGI, Nick Irwin collaborated with Misha, deciding on an effortless, textured look, as if hair was blown out the day before.

To create this chic and confident look, first Nick created a haphazard side part and worked Catwalk by TIGI Session Series Styling Cream through the ends and used his hands to rough up hair while also brushing through with a flat brush. Next, he gathered the hair at the nape of the neck and, using an elastic, he loosely pulled hair halfway through. He used duck bill clips to set hair around the hairline-creating loose bends and separation.  He then used a small elastic at the end of the pony to set a narrow shape. To finish, he removed the clips and elastic at the end of the pony, and gently pulled at sections of hair around the hairline, lightly teasing it with his fingers to create volume at the crown. He then sprayed the hair with Catwalk by TIGI Sessions Series Work it Hairspray.

Super star makeup artist Bobbi Brown was on hand to create polished looks. She applied Bobbi Brown’s Corrector/Concealer and Foundation in Natural for flawless skin. She then applied Bobbi Brown Brightening Blush in Pink for shimmery cheeks and used her Smokey Nudes Eye Palette for a smokey grey effect. She top off the look with Blush Lip Color for a nude lip. For the nails, Lead Manicurist for Morgan Taylor, Gina Edwards, applied a striped to each nail in colors including, Wish You Were Here (creamy lavender), From Paris With Love (Mauve) and Deja Blue.
