Mercedes-Benz Fall/Winter 2014 Fashion Week: Parkchoonmoo

Backstage before Parkchoonmoo's Fall/Winter 2014, TIGI's Global Creative Director Nick Irwin told us about his inspiration for a minimalistic hair look that tucks into the clothing to enhance the architectural, clean look of designer Demi Park's collection. "This is really precise hairdressing," he says of the style. "It takes a long time to create the process. We're doing very, very small sections of flat ironing, literally a quarter of an inch sections through the hair."

Irwin first applied Catwalk by Tigi Fast Fixx before flat ironing tiny slivers of hair until it was bone-straight. He then set the style with Catwalk by TIGI Work It Hairspray. He created a clean, center part using Work It Hairspray, molded hair to the head and tucked it behind the ears. Next, he wrapped a hair net tightly around the hair and neck at the nape and, using low heat, blow-dried to set a slight bend at the occipital bone. Irwin secured a low ponytail toward the end of the hair shaft to create a "V" shape.

For makeup, Clinique Global Color Artist Jenna Menard created what she describes as a monotone look with dark lips and glossy eyes. For lips, she used Matte Plum and put gloss only on the bottom lip. The rims of the lips were lined in black and skin  was left very clear.
