For Patrik Ervell’s show, lead hairstylist Holli Smith for Oribe Hair Care created a look that was a combination of wet and dry. “It almost looks like the guy was wearing a visor, and he’s sweated a bit so his hairline is wet but the rest of his head is still really dry,” Smith says.
To get the look, she sprayed dry hair with Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray and blow-dried the product into the hair with a Mason Pearson brush. She then applied Dry Texturizing Spray all over the hair and dried again. She then brushed it out with a Mason Pearson, directing the top section of the hair forward and keeping the head shape small. Next, Smith used her hands to pull a few pieces of hair down from the hairline across the forehead, and sprayed the roots with Maximista to create a wet look.
