Mercedes-Benz Fall/Winter 2014 Fashion Week: Tracy Reese

It was all about texture, and natural beautiful facial features for the Tracy Reese woman showing the Fall/Winter 2014 Tracy Reese collection during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC.

To master the textured looks, Ouidad Creative Director Morgan Willhite, led a team of Ouidad stylists to create a variety of bold, emotional and textured styles exclusively for the Tracy Reese runway. The inspiration for the hair look was “individual beauty,” which perfectly mirrors Ouidad’s advocacy for embracing one’s self and natural hair texture.

“Bold, naturally textured styles are all the rage right now and will continue to be a growing trend, Willhite said. "These styles can be recreated on all hair types and these effortless looks can be achieved easily with the appropriate styling products and tools."

For the individualized looks, the Ouidad stylists incorporated different hair parts, inconsistent wave patterns, free flowing strands, a windblown “halo” effect and natural texture.

For models who had very fine, straight hair, Willhite added texture by taking strands of hair and figure-eighting the pieces through a bobby pin and flat iron the hair. The kinked locks were then pulled out to give the effect of natural texture.

To achieve all the hair looks, the stylists used Ouidad Wave Create Sea SprayPlayCurl Volumizing Styling SprayStyling Mist Setting & Holding SprayShine Glaze SerumMoisture Lock Leave-In Conditioner and Salon Series by Ouidad Mongongo Oil Multi-Use Hair Treatment.

Makeup artist Mally created six different beautiful faces, using Mally Makeup, to represent various emotions, from happy and cheerful to aggressive, stoic and melancholy. The looks accentuated strong brows, striking facial features and bold lips.
