Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013 NYC: Marc by Marc Jacobs

For the first time, Marc by Marc Jacobs showed at Lincoln Center last night, where Redken Creative Consultant Guido was on hand backstage creating a "fluffy, wavy 'do" that referenced the 1940s. To get the look, Guido prepped the hair with Redken Guts 10 root targeted volumizing spray foam, then blow-dried it. Next, he created a deep side part and curled the hair in small sections, using both 1-inch and 1 1/4-inch irons, pinning the curls to set. After unpinning the curls, he brushed them out and back-brushed the top front section, pinning it across the forehead and securing with a bobby pin. Finally, he set the look with Fashion Work 12 versatile working spray.

Shiseido Artistic Director Dick Page created the makeup look, which he described as simple and ladylike. Page put the focus on the lips, using two different lip colors to colors to create a dramatic red hue. For the eyes, he used shimmering taupe and black shadows.
