Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013 NYC: Timo Weiland

Yesterday at Lincoln Center, lead hairstylist for L'Oréal Professionnel Joseph DiMaggio was backstage at Timo Weiland creating a casually wavy hairstyle for the models that perfectly complemented the designer's collection. "It was inspired by a girl who has an intense workweek and wants to get away for the weekend to the British countryside.," he told me. To get the look, Joseph prepped the hair by mixing L'Oréal Professionnel's Texture Expert True Grip Texturizing Powder with Serie Expert Volume Expand Volumizing Leave-in Spray, then creating soft, loose waves with a 1 1/4-inch One Epic flat iron. He finished with more True Grip, parted the hair in the middle and tucked it behind the ears.

Chantel Miller, lead stylist for M.A.C, was responsible for the makeup look, which featured a contoured complexion, gel liner in Dirty Blonde on the inner crease of the eyes, and matte cream blush pressed into the center of the lip to create "the perfect girly peach shade." To get the nail look, Sunshine Outing for Zoya layered three shades from the brand's textured, matte and sparkling Pixie Dust collection—Godiva, Dahlia and Nyx—on the nail, letting each layer dry before applying the next.
