Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NYC Fall ‘10: Alexander Wang

At the Alexander Wang show at Pier 94, Redken lead stylist Guido gave the models an exaggerated hairstyle that was "super cool, grungy and tomboy-ish." Forceful 23 was the main ingredient in this look, which featured a low side part, natural texture and enough hair spray to keep the style in place for years. Guido also wanted to make the models appear to have fine hair, so he braided some of the hair underneath on those models with thicker strands.

The grungy theme continued with the makeup, created by Diane Kendal for MAC and inspired by early '90s tomboys. The skin was clean, with just some moisturizer, and the eyes had a blend of Sepia Cream Color Base and Brown Paint Stick. Kendal didn't use any mascara, but penciled in the brows for a fuller look.
