Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2013 NYC: Diane von Furstenburg

No two hair looks were the same at Diane von Furstenberg's spring 2013 show. Lead stylist for Phyto Orlando Pita created individual styles for each model ranging from tight curls to pin-straight locks based on their hair type, cut or personal style. "It was Diane's idea when she saw the models' natural hairstyles during the fitting," he told me. Products from Phyto's line including Phytovolume Actif, Laque Soie light hold hairspray and Professional Workable Holding Spray, along with T3 tools, helped him achieve the looks.

Nails, courtesy of Essie, were painted with one coat of Allure for a sheer and shiny look, while toes were done up in a creamy coral pink shade called Van D'Go to complement the bright shoes in the collection. James Kaliardos for M.A.C created the makeup look, which featured a pale espresso shade on the lids, lots of mascara and individual lashes on the corners of the eyes for an East Indian look. A little blush in the center of the cheek and moisturizer on the lips completed the look.
