Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 NYC: Alice & Olivia

Stacey Bendet's Spring 2014 collection for Alice & Olivia is the crossroads of Prep meets Pretty as evidenced through the clothes, hair and makeup.

Global Creative Director for TIGI Nick Irwin created a sleek chignon with a deep side part. Creating a sleek 'do was simply to create something pretty that would not take away from the clothes, so Irwin set the tone. Hair was brushed straight back, making way for the deep side part and set with Catwalk Session Series Finishing Hairspray to make the hair super shiny and sleek. Hair was gathered into a low pony and secured with an elastic. The pony was then saturated with TIGI Curlesque Strong Hold Mousse to keep locks sleek then it was twisted from the top to the bottom of the pony, secured at the bottom with another elastic before twirling the hair up into a low bun.

As Irwin noted it had a very Spanish feel to the look.

Sara Lucero for Stila kept the makeup very "American Beauty" by making the skin beautiful and even-toned so a peachy color on the cheeks and lips could pop. A touch of white shimmer was used to highlight the lids and a coral lip in Stila Gerbera was used for a pretty pout.
