Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 NYC: Carmen Marc Valvo

Techno-tribal was the theme at Carmen Marc Valvo’s Spring 2014 show, incorporating luxe fabrics and detailed embellishments while creating various patterns from inspired by different cultures. Editorial, runway and celebrity hair stylists Ted Gibson had a vision for the hair by creating a look that was tribal, modern and sophisticated to play off of the designer’s collection. He gave the models a blonde inverted bob wig dip-dyed in black. To style the wigs, Gibson used to key products from his beauty line Hair Sheet and Beautiful Hold Hair Spray.

International Makeup Stylist for Nars Cosmetics wanted a clean and polished palette with a “hint” of playfulness. For the skin, she applied Sheer Glow Foundation and Loose Powder then brushed a hint of platinum shimmer to the eye followed by a bold, graphic black liner. Completing the look, Uzo dabbed Radiant Creamy Concealer followed by Tashkent Pure Matte Lipstick on the lips.
