Ralph Rucci wanted his models to portray “the spirit of a woman” in his Spring 2014 runway show. His collection captured the girl's elegance with a hint of spontaneity. Laurent Phillippon, Bumble and bumble hair stylist, created a sophisticated bun with a modern twist, literally.
Prepping the hair, Phillippon sprayed Prep followed by a generous amount of Thickening Hairspray, then blow-drying at a downward angle using a flat brush. He used Bb. Gel to slick the hair back into a clean ponytail pulling the hair back at the nape of the neck. He created a loose braid, messed it up then reconstructed the braid before wrapping and pinning the bun. To finish the style, he used Does It All Styling Spray to get rid of any flyways and then took a step back to look at the shape.
The nails for the show were polished with Essie Mademoiselle, a skin-tone hue that doesn’t take away from the crystals wrapped around the joint of each finger.
