Mercedes-Benz Spring '11 Fashion Week NYC: Joanna Mastroianni

Lead hairstylist Ron King created both the hair and makeup looks at Joanna Mastroianni's presentation with help from his team from Ron King Salon in Austin, Texas. "I wanted to do something fun and flirty, a modern take on the 1960s," he told me. For the hair look, King flat-ironed the hair, pulled it into a very high ponytail, braided it loosely and twisted it into a figure-eight before pinning it under the ponytail. Key products included L'Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Lumi Controle and #2 hairspray. A sultry smoky eye, heavy lashes and tangerine-stained lips—all achieved with M.A.C products and King's signature makeup line—completed the look.
