Mercedes-Benz Spring ‘11 Fashion Week NYC: Prabal Gurung

At the Prabal Gurung show, which was held at The Studio at Lincoln Center, Odile Gilbert for Moroccanoil created an elegant look inspired by the classic American ponytail. Gilbert created the look, which was part-ponytail and part-chignon, by first applying Moroccanoil Treatment from roots to ends, then combing or brushing the hair completely flat, creating a deep part on the left side, pulling it back and the spraying Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to hold it in place during styling. Next, hair on the right side was released into a rounded shape, then sprayed with Luminous Hairspray, while hair on the left side was pulled back into a ponytail with a thin hair band. Strands on the right side were wrapped around the top of the ponytail, pinned, then released to flow down the back. Gilbert then clipped a rectangular silver-colored hair accessory to attach the length of the hair to the nape of the neck. She finished the look with a spritz of Luminous Hairspray to keep it in place and a light misting of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray.

For the makeup look, Tom Pecheux for M.A.C created a futuristic, minimalist look by applying M.A.C Select Moisturecover Concealer and Mineralize Skinfinish Natural on the skin; Silver Dusk, Pink Opal, and White Pigments above the brow arch to under the pupils and on temples and cheekbones; Pure White Paint Stick on the eyes; and concealer and Wondershine in Supremely Confident on the lips.
