Mercedes-Benz Spring ’12 Fashion Week NYC: Timo Weiland

One of the steps in creating Ouidad's updo

At the spring 2012 Timo Weiland show the vibe was "New Yorkers gone surfing circa 1960's and 1970's." Stylist and "Queen of Curl," Ouidad, opted for very laid-back hair styles as if the models had just stepped off of the beach.  The looks were very natural, "think Hawaii, just sit back and relax," she said. To create the look, hair was  first styled with Ouidad's Climate Control Hair and Humidity Gel and Shine Glaze Serum then put up in a tousled french-like twist to give the effect of effortless wind swept hair.

James Boehmer, Director of Global Artistry for NARS, gave the models a tomboy edge with a look that he called " New York artist gone on holiday to the coast." First he applied NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer to the face and then combined two NARS blush colors to create a sun-burnt effect on the cheeks. NARS Bilboa Satin Liptsick was lightly dabbed on to create the just bitten lip look.
