Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week NYC: Pamela Love

Pamela Love's spring 2012 jewelry collection, which featured Moroccan-inspired pieces with graphic shapes and patterns, was shown at Milk Studios. Each model wore a headscarf and hat, so lead stylist for Sebastian Professional Anthony Cole created a fishtail braid wrapped in leather at the bottom that would keep the hair close to the head. To get the look, he prepped the hair with Sebastian Potion 9, then pulled the hair into a ponytail and applied Craft Clay to strands for grip and hold. Next he braided the hair and secured it with a leather tie, pulling some strands of hair out against the grain. A misting of Shaper Zero Gravity provided lightweight hold.

Essie celebrity manicurist Elle was on hand to create the nail look, a simple yet striking reverse French manicure chevron design achieved with Essie Little Brown Dress at the top of the nail and Topless & Barefoot at the bottom of the nail. Lead makeup artist for M.A.C Gina Crozier completed the look, using earthy tones on the models' faces and adding a dark vertical line on the lower lip inspired by Moroccan tribal wedding makeup in the Atlas Mountains. Musicians playing North African-influenced music greeted guests as they arrived for the presentation.
