Mercedes-Benz Spring/Summer 2015 Fashion Week: Tibi

Tibi’s spring 2015 collection fuses traditions from Japan to Peru and calls on a variety of textures like quilting and pleating. The clothing palette is neutral, using ample earth tones and grays. To complement the Japanese influence, hair lead Frank Rizzieri for Aveda chose a structured hairstyle that was “really clean with a slight bend in the back,” he told us backstage before the show. To create the look, he worked Aveda Pure Abundance Style-Prep through hair and blow-dried. Next, he made a strong center part. He then created a slight bend in the back of the hair with a flat-iron and secured an elastic hair bungee from ear to ear to keep the style very tight. He finished with Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil.

Bobbi Brown makeup complemented the collection with a whimsical look of flushed cheeks and highlighted eyes in warm neutrals. Products included Bone Eye Shadow and Taupe Long Wear Cream Shadow, Retouching Powder in Rose, and Creamy Matte Lip Color in Heather Mauve.

Jin Soon Choi designed an accent nail with black stitches against a cream base, inspired by a soft, woven Shibori print. JINsoon Power Coat, Georgette, Chamonix and Auspicious were all used for the stucco nail with a leather pop.
