Mercedes-Benz Spring/Summer 2015 Fashion Week: Zimmermann

Rodney Cutler, owner of Cutler Salons in New York City, told us backstage before Zimmermann that he thinks a center part is “always great on the runway." “It’s simple but I think it’s chic,” he said. “It’s really about letting the clothes be the star.”

For Zimmermann, Cutler created a sleek ponytail that draped slightly over the ears. To get the look, he made a part down the middle, and then blow-dried the hair smooth using Redken Satinwear 02 Prepping Blow-Dry Lotion.

Next, he pulled hair back into a ponytail and took a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrapped it around the elastic to cover it. To finish, he used Wind Blown Dry Hairspray to give the style an airy texture.

For nails, Zoya lead nail tech Angel Williams created a “naked teardrop” manicure inspired by curves. To get the look, Williams left a slightly off-center teardrop of the bare nail exposed and painted the remaining two-thirds of the nail with antique gold Zoya Ziv. The color complemented the gilded clothing in Zimmermann’s collection.
