Cosmetologists Chicago elected its 2012-2014 board of directors at their annual business meeting on October 22. These volunteer members will be responsible for developing and guiding the association of 7,000 members in everything from continuing education and legislative representation to hosting America’s Beauty Show. The event, which attracts 60,000 beauty industry attendees, will be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place from March 9-11.
“Cosmetologists Chicago is a forward-thinking, action-oriented network with an unlimited future,” said newly installed President Joseph Cartagena. “We have a winning team with dedicated, highly motivated officers and directors who will lead the organization into years of growth.”
The new board of directors includes:
- President – Joseph Cartagena, Genacelli Salon & Day Spa
- 1st Vice President – Denise Provenzano, Zano Salons & Spa
- 2nd Vice President – Larry Silvestri, Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas
- Secretary – Robert Passage, Pivot Point International
- Treasurer – Karen Gordon, J. Gordon Designs
- Immediate Past President, Frank Gironda, Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spa
