Golden State

This fall, go for the gold with shadow that makes eyes sparkle, like the look MAC Cosmetics’ Gordon Espinet created at the Desigual fall/winter 2014 New York show. Espinet says he was inspired by “girls looking like girls using an indeliberate technique to apply gold shadow.” He used MAC Pro Gold Metal Pigment mixed with Gloss Texture for a liquid, gilded texture and applied it in painterly strokes. He finished with Gold Glitter on the center of the lid for extra shimmer. —C.R.
