Today I attended an event at the ultra-chic Thompson Hotel near Columbus Circle in NYC, where the beauty media was invited for stylish blow outs using products exclusively from Original & Mineral, an Australian color and haircare collection that will be launching in the USA in January 2012. The line is the brainchild of Jose Bryce Smith and her husband Alan Buki, owners of the Atlantis Salon in Sydney, who had one goal in mind, to create a natural and low chemical line of products. Stemming from the belief that no client or hairdresser should be exposed to harsh chemicals they designed a color line is free of ammonia, resorcinol and PPD-and with 99 shades to choose from hairdressers will have the freedom to let their creative juices flow.
In addition, to the color line, Original & Minerals haircare and styling collection contains natural ingredients that are indigenous to Australia. These paraben, MIT and triclosan free products suit every hair type and concern. I am living proof of this- I walked into the event with my usual fine, limp hair and left transformed with shiny and voluminous locks!
