Paul Mitchell Schools Holds Star-Studded Caper Event

The 27th annual Caper Event for Paul Mitchell Schools was held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas February 20–22, with more than 2,500 motivated future professionals in attendance. Each of the students who joined the 200 hundred staff members, each earned their right to attend by selling  specially packaged Paul Mitchell products. The two-day extravaganza was packed full with fun surprise appearances by Magic Johnson, Marie Osmond and Robin Leach, who read a proclamation from the city of Las Vegas declaring February 21 “Paul Mitchell Day.” Magic Johnson and Marie Osmond guest appeared to thank the Paul Mitchell Schools for including both the Magic Johnson Foundation and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (co-founded by the Osmond family) in this year’s annual FUNraising Campaign, which has donated over $6 million to various charities.

The hands-on educational workshops and motivational speeches were still taken very seriously.  Day two featured hands-on classroom rotations. Cosmetology students attended three two-hour classes—Cutting, Color, and Look and Learn. Future skincare professionals spent their day immersed in makeup products, fashions and application techniques. The grand finale featured the show teams from A Robert Cromeans Salon, Kelly Cardenas Salons, Lunatic Fringe and Angus Mitchell’s Beverly Hills Salon. Industry leaders Tabatha Coffey, Robert Cromeans, Stephanie Kocielski, Lucie Doughty, Debra Dietrich, Scott Cole, Linda Yodice were just a few of the many featured speakers to attend the two-day event.
