Pivot Point Launches Salonability

Pivot Point International, Inc., a global leader in beauty education, introduces a collection of looks with Salonability Long Hair to help salon stylists worldwide develop more efficient and confident commercial long hair styling skills.

With Salonability Long Hair stylists will unlock the secrets for securing long hair styles for worry-free, long-lasting designs. The “salonability” factor teaches stylists the foundations of long hair design, tips for client consultation, increased proficiency and a heightened confidence level behind the chair.

Pivot Point’s Salonability Long Hair collection was created in partnership with Australian Sharon Blain, internationally acclaimed for her skills as a long hair educational artist. Four-time winner of Hair Expo Australia’s Educator of the Year and an inductee into the Hair Expo Australia’s Hall of Fame, Blain brought her passion for the craft, and her more than 40 years of hairdressing experience, to the Pivot Point Artistic Team in a collaboration that resulted in 12 sophisticated long hair styles with complete instructional education.

“Working with Pivot Point has been a perfect collaboration between both our brands,” explained Blain. “Over the years I’ve always had an affinity with Pivot Point’s educational techniques and foundation. Being asked to participate on this project was a humbling experience. I'm confident that the hairstyles, tips and techniques that are part of the Salonability Long Hair collection will be a hit with salon owners, stylists and the salon clients alike.”

“We have really changed things up with Salonability Long Hair. We’ve worked in a subject-matter partnership with the incredibly talented Sharon Blain to deliver a long hair education product to the market that goes beyond the typical wedding and formal occasion hair. With a sharp eye toward fashion, this collection features great designs that are wearable, contemporary and completely relevant to today’s salon client. These are looks clients will really want to wear,” said Brian Fallon, Educational Content Specialist, Pivot Point International.

In addition to Fallon, the lead Pivot Point Artistic team working with Blain on the Salonability Long Hair project included Yolly ten Koppel, Global Artistic Director; Sabine Held-Perez, Senior Director, Program Development; and Jason Russell, Field Educator.
