Power Players

Dermalogica’s new trio of skin-brightening products packs a powerful peptide punch.

Things just got brighter with Dermalogica’s new PowerBright TRx trio of products formulated to combat hyperpigmentation and dark spots caused by UV damage, age and hormones. The three products, which replace ChromaWhite TRx, incorporate the beneficial layering of active complexes to maximize results. “These three treatment products brighten and help balance uneven skin tone while preserving the quality and integrity of the skin,” says Annet King, Dermalogica director of global education.

C-12 Pure Bright Serum helps balance pigmentation by using a combination of rice-derived phytic acid, zinc glycinate, algae and peptides, such as oligopeptide-51 and oligopeptide-34, which fight melanin formation.

To shield skin from UV rays, Pure Light SPF50 is an advanced daytime treatment moisturizer that uses oleosome technology. Oleosomes are moisture-rich spheres derived from safflower seeds that allow for more SPF protection while using fewer chemical sunscreens, therefore making sensitive skin less prone to negative reactions.

Pure Night helps control melanin formation, restore skin’s luminosity and
maximize the benefits of the PowerBright TRx trio. The overnight treatment contains a blend of oligopeptide-34 and skin brightening vitamin C, as well as cranberry and raspberry seed oils to hydrate skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines from dehydration. Together, the trio of products works to combat hyperpigmentation
“safely and synergistically without compromising skin health,” King says.
