Redken a Finalist at the 2010 SAMMY Awards

The Break Room, Redken’s online networking community for salon owners and stylists, has been named a finalist at the SAMMY Awards. The Awards honor overall excellence and outstanding achievement in Social Advertising, Media and Marketing. The Break Room, launched in June, has more than 5,000 members and was chosen as one of three finalists for SAMMY’s Best Social Community: B2B award, which commends quality social websites that connect individuals working in a specific industry. Aside from connecting professionals, The Break Room also features Redken programs and collections, such as World of Redken and the Ultimate Salon Makeover. Other finalists are American Express OPEN Forum and The SAMMYs are presented by DigiDay, publisher of DigiDay:Daily and host of DigiDay:Social. —Ivy Tan
