On Wednesday night, the American Salon team attended an exclusive, advanced screening of Sex and the City 2 hosted by René Furterer for beauty editors and salon owners at Cinema 1, 2, 3 in Manhattan. In true Sex and the City style, we were welcomed with cosmos at the door and box dinners courtesy of Tao Restaurant. After a special presentation on a new line of professional styling products by René Furterer, set to launch in the fall, Frank Barbosa, the film’s head hairstylist, talked about his experience on set. (Keep an eye out for Carrie’s gorgeous waves in the opening scene, which was Barbosa’s favorite look on her in the film.) Following the screening, the celebration continued at Mia Dona for the after party, where hors d’oeuvres and cocktails were served.
