On July 30th at The Studio LA for Sebastian Professionals, media and beauty professionals alike were treated to a special preview of Metamorphik —more than just a collection, it is also a hands-on experiment that shows the development of Sebastian’s featured products from the collection: the latest liquid tool innovations, Resintek and Eruptek. Carnauba—the world’s most durable wax, has been refined into Resintek, a moldable liquid sap that defines texture, adds hyper-shine, holds styles in place and re-molds easily. Eruptek contains the energy of volcanic ash, which is compressed into a tactile, lava-like paste that activates instantly upon contact for extreme volume and texture. The entire collection will be available in September.
The Studio LA is also offering Groundwork: What’s Next Awards—a two-day creative development seminar designed to help stylists at any level explore and refine their interpretation of the Metamorphik Collection. Attendees will build their creative eye and strengthen their skills while leaving with one edited image to submit for the 2016 What’s Next Awards, where contestants will be judged on the looks they created drawn from inspiration from the Metamorphik Collection. Finalists will be chosen to compete live on stage in Miami, FL in February with the Sebastian Design Team. The three categories for entry are: Student, Professional and Affiliated Artist.
