I booked a treatment appointment to experience a trio from the collection, Redken Diamond Oil Shampoo, Diamond Oil Conditioner and Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine. My stylist assessed my hair health and decided the Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine—a favorite of Redken Creative Consultant Guido backstage at Fall 2013 New York Fashion Week— was perfect for my well-maintained, fine locks.
She started the indulgent treatment with a head massage and shampoo and then conditioned with a cocktail of Diamond Oil Conditioner and few drops of Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine. I relaxed for about ten minutes to allow the coriander, camelina and apricot oils in the products to penetrate. A thorough rinse and blowout completed the pampering experience. After the treatment, my hair was transformed— each strand was super smooth, shimmering and volumized. The full Diamond Oil collection will be available in May. —Jennifer Barnes
